The operation allows to assign acceptable cabin overbooking level (see Capacity Parameters Management).

The operation is carried out on a leg level.

The screen of setting the Overbooking mass operation is presented in Figure:

It is possible to select the legs of the flight, to which the changes will be applied. The legs list is generated automatically for the found flight in accordance with the specified flight selection parameters. By default, all the legs are checked, which means that changes in overbooking parameters will be applied to all the legs in the flight.

To select the legs to which the business rules should apply, select the desired leg line. The line will be marked with an icon and the business rules will be applied to the selected legs. The selected rows will be marked Image134.png.

To select all the legs or clear all the legs, select or clear the Select/Deselect check box.

A value of the parameter is assigned on a cabin level. If a value for the cabin equals zero, it means that only cabin physical capacity (taking into account limits) is in sale.

The list of the cabins is selected automatically. A cabin is displayed in the list, if it is present at least on one leg. When carrying out the operation for the inventory, which contains no corresponding cabin, the value will be ignored. The information about lack of the cabin will be displayed in the report of the operation implementation.

To specify a value of overbooking for a cabin, click Overbooking Operation-2.png. The fields for specifying values will be presented:

  • Value: a value of the overbooking parameter
  • Percent/Absolute: when specifying an absolute value (Seats), cabin sale capacity will be increased by the specified number of seats. When specifying a percentage value (%), a number of seats will be calculate in regard to cabin physical capacity.
