Check-in for codeshare flights in DCS Amber

Codeshare agreement presents an agreement between carriers to perform сodeshare flights. Two or more carriers (airlines) may participate in the codeshare agreement.

An airline which performs transportation is the operating carrier (a flight of an operating carrier takes part in actual DFP).

An airline for which ticket booking and sales are carried out but which does not perform a flight is the commercial/marketing carrier (flights of commercial carriers are not displayed in actual DFP).

Ticket sales are carried out both for commercial flights and operating flights.

Commercial and operating carriers send telegrams with passenger lists (PNL/ADL) to the check-in system. The full list of passengers on a flight of the operating carrier are formed on the basis of these lists. Combining of the lists in the check-in system is carried out on the basis of information specified in the Schedule and codeshare settings table.

Displaying information about passengers of the commercial carrier on a flight of the operating carrier in the "Passenger check-in" module

If the booking of a ticket was carried out to a flight of the commercial carrier, then when selecting a passenger, a number of this flight will be displayed opposite to the passenger from the commercial flight in the Commercial flight window of the check-in module.

Figure 55

If the booking of a ticket was carried out to a flight of the operating carrier, then a number of the flight coincides with the flight which is on the check-in.

When adding a NOREC passenger (a passenger that is out of passenger lists) to a codeshare flight, flights of all airlines participating in the codeshare agreement relative to the operating flight for which the check-in is carried out are displayed in the Commercial flight field. Specifying a number of the commercial flight is mandatory. A number of the flight which is different from specified ones on the list may be specified in this field.

Figure 56

The Passengers/Ctrl+F9 table with total check-in results now contains the Com. flight column in which the commercial flight of the passenger is displayed. If commercial and operating flights coincide, then the column is not filled in.

Figure 57

The display of the application of norms and fares of the commercial carrier when the check-in and payment of excess baggage are carried out: if the indication of the application of norms and fares of the commercial carrier for passengers of commercial carriers is set in the Schedule and codeshare settings table, then when entering baggage data, the corresponding norms relative to the marketing carrier will be displayed in the check-in.
