Business Rules for Re-accommodation Management

The business rules of the Re-accommodation management group define the algorithm of transfers in the event of a schedule change. The algorithm specified by the business rules of this group shall be applied to flights only in the automatic mode of transfer decision formation.

Conditions of the business rules are applied in the following modes:

Tip.png All business rules of the “Re-accommodation management” section are not mandatory. Absence of rules of the corresponding type before forming a flight does not affect the process of forming this flight.

The “Re-accommodation management” group contains a set of business rule types. Each type is intended for managing a separate aspect of re-accommodation. A name and a description for each type of the business rules are presented below:

Search conditions Conditions under which searching alternate flights should not be carried out due to modification of a segment are defined by this rule
Search flight range System time range within which searching alternate flights is carried out is defined by this rule
Allowed flights List of flights which may be considered as alternate flights while forming a solution for re-accommodation is defined by this rule
Prohibited flights List of flights which are not considered as alternate flights when forming a solution for re-accommodation is defined by this rule
Traffic restrictions Criteria of searching alternate flights in accordance with specified traffic restrictions on modified and alternate flights are defined by this rule
Save route Condition of searching alternate flights with saving a stop-over point by geographical indication when re-accommodating passengers of a multiple-leg flight on a long segment is defined by this rule
Non stop flights only Restrictions on searching indirect flights (boarding and connecting) when forming a solution for re-accommodation on short segments of direct flights is defined by this rule
Class matching Conditions of re-accommodation of passengers for whom “class to class” re-accommodation is not possible due to absence of the required booking class on the alternate flight is defined by the rule
SSP Rebooking The search criteria of alternate flights according to existing special spaces on a modified and alternate flights are defined by this rule
Cap Oversell Permission of rebooking over aircraft capacity is defined by this rule
Manual control mode Restriction on possibility of performing re-accommodation in the automatic mode is defined by this rule
Minor Time change The rule defines time range (up to 59 minutes before and after departure) of time change. Within this range no telegram is sent to the PNR owners (agents) if passengers are rebooked

Applying Business Rules to Codeshared Flights

User may configure special conditions for re-accommodation of marketing partner’s passengers.

For each business rule except “Manual control mode” a partner may be specified. When re-accommodating passengers of marketing partners, business-rules win the specified Partner field are applied.

Example:

XX in the flight operator with two marketing partners: AL1 and AL2 (Codeshare FreeSale or Cap Free Sale types only).

In both cases marketing passengers are protected.

The following logic will affect the Re-accommodation plan configuring:

  • when re-accommodating XX’s passengers business-rules with no partner specified will be applied
  • when re-accommodating AL1’s passengers, only XX’s business-rules with AL1 partner (strict correspondence) value will be applied
  • when re-accommodating AL2’s passengers, only XX’s business-rules with AL2 partner (strict correspondence) value will be applied
  • if XX has no business-rules with strict correspondence these two conditions above, business-rules with empty Partner field will be applied.
