Duplicate segments/Analysis by City of Departure and Nearby Airports
The following parameters are set in this section:
- time range for departure from the city; time range (number of hours), in which two or more segments in one PNR from the specified city will be considered as duplicate and analysed by the system;
- distance between nearby airports: distance within which the airports are considered as nearby.
Setting Time Range for Departure from a City
Time range for departure from a city is configured in the Search by city block in the Analysis section.
The following parameters are indicated:
Parameter | Obligingness | Purpose | Format |
---|---|---|---|
Default search time | Yes | Search time used for cities of departure, except for cities with time expressly indicated in the table | Value from 1 hour to 999 hours |
City | No | The list of searched cities, where search time differs from the default search time | Three-digit IATA or CRT (Schedule and Fare Center) (if there is no IATA) code of the city |
Search hours | Yes, if the field City is filled | Time value for cities indicated in the field City | Value from 1 hour to 999 hours |
The value of search time is counted for a city both prior to departure and after it. For example, if the set value is 36 hours and the set departure from the city is on 25.07 at 10:00, a duplicate PNRs will be searched for with respect to departure from all the city airports for the period from 23.07 22:00 till 26.07 22:00.
Configuring Nearby Ports
Time range for departure from a city is configured in the Nearby airports block in the Analysis section.
The following parameters are indicated:
Parameter | Obligingness | Purpose | Format |
---|---|---|---|
Search radius | Yes | The radius of searching for nearby airports used for points of departure, except for those which value is expressly indicated in the table | Value from 0 to 500 kilometers |
Airports near | No | List of codes of nearby airports. Filling out of minimum two codes is required | IATA codes or CRT codes (if there is no IATA code) of airports |
Upon analysis of a specific PNR with a city of departure the setting will operate as follows:
- the number of kilometers in the field Search radius will indicate a radius around the city of departure for PNR, in which all departures within the set time range will be considered as departures from nearby airports;
- moreover, it is possible to indicate pairs and lists of points of departure in the table which will be considered nearby regardless of indicated radius of review.
Example
The settings are as follows:
- 36 hours for search time for flights departing from one city
- 250 kilometers is radius for nearby airports search.
The flight in the PNR departs from APT airport. In the 250 km radius form APT the following airports are located: B, C, D, E. So any segments departing from these airports within 36 hours before and after the analyzed segment flights will be considered as duplicate.
The F port does not pertain to 250 radius around APT airport, BUT it is specified in the table as nearby for this region, that is why segments departing from this airport will be considered as duplicate within one PNR, too.
